Opinions Wanted: Concerned Spouse Or Identity Thief?
If you’ve been paying attention to the news lately, you know that the state of Michigan is cracking down on the identity theft penalties. Those jealous spouses had better think twice about snooping around their partners’ personal accounts and belongings. Rochester Hills resident, Leon Walker, was recently arrested for reading his wife’s email account on their home computer.
Apparently, Leon found emails that suggested his wife was having an affair with her former husband. Clara informed authorities that although Leon had purchased the computer, it was a gift to her and all passwords were kept a secret. Unfortunately for Leon, he's being charged in court under the pretense that he is a computer hacker.
This story provides us with an entirely unique outlook on email identity theft. Is Leon in fact an identity thief or is he merely a concerned husband trying to get to the bottom of something? Please share your thoughts below!
